I never considered myself a "water person." In fact, being in the water often made me anxious. But over two years of solo travel, saying yes to experiences outside my comfort zone led to some of the most memorable moments of my life, from snorkeling with sea turtles in Bali to cruising through the breathtaking fjords of New Zealand.
